Guests and day-visitors can immerse themselves in breathtaking scenic views and enjoy various on-site outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, mountain biking, bird watching, picnics and outdoor photography. Whether you're looking to unwind or explore, there's something for everyone.

Guests can also venture into Highmoor Nature Reserve for more nature hikes or visit the Kamberg Rock Art Centre to marvel at ancient rock art. The Midlands Meander offers a wealth of attractions, from artisanal shops to local eateries, ensuring a memorable visit.

Silver Hill Lodge offers four hiking trails, ideal for both beginner and intermediate hikers. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of lush forests, where natural mountain streams and cascading waterfalls provide a soothing soundtrack to your journey. Along the way, you'll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and discover a diverse array of native plants and vibrant wild flowers, especially during the spring and summer months.

Wildlife enthusiasts will be delighted by the abundance of creatures that call these trails home. Our unique Vulture Hide trail leads you to a special feeding area, offering a rare opportunity to observe our resident endangered Cape Bearded Vultures in their natural habitat.

Our hikes are open to day-visitors.
