New Management 5 March 2012 - We welcome Yvonne Wiid as our new Lodge Manager. Unfortunately Corrie and Toy Muller resigned in February due to Corrie's ill health. AA Grading - Silver Hill graded 'Superior Accommodation" 2 June 2011 - In May, Silver Hill was inspected by the AA and today, we received our grading certificate. The AA judged Silver Hill "Top Notch" and awarded us the highest grading of "Superior" The grading report said the following: "Nestled in the foothills of the Drakensberg in the Kamberg area. Silver Hill Lodge is perfectly positioned. Built with face brick under thatch. So much detail has gone into the planning of this guest house making sure guests are comfortable and satisfied. Excellent furnishings,fabrics and fittings with exceptional facilities and services. The warm hospitality is certainly noted and no wonder their bed occupancy is over 60% and they are AA Award winners in their category. Well deserved! A very large generator in place to cover Eskom outages. Commendations" AA Accommodation Awards WINNER 9 May 2011 - We were very excited to win the Country-Style Retreat (Small) category of the AA Accommodation Awards competition last night, at a gala dinner held at the Durban City Hall. Our guests filled out AA critique forms over 9 months to January 2011 on their experience at Silver Hill. Apart from a visitor's book full of complimentary remarks, the critique forms provide the AA with an objective report on what our guests thought of the Lodge and their experience. We obviously hit the spot this year and Silver Hill Lodge came out the best in this category. Congratulations to our management and staff and a big thank you to our guests for their critiques and for their valued support year after year. |
